The Ultimate Oslob Day Trip
Oslob is one of the most action-packed destinations in Cebu. You can experience whale shark watching, a stunning waterfall, AND paragliding — all in one day. Here's the perfect itinerary.
The Schedule
5:00 AM — Leave Cebu City
Take a bus from South Bus Terminal or arrange a private car. The drive to Oslob takes about 3-4 hours. Leave early to arrive in time for whale sharks.
8:30 AM — Whale Shark Watching
Arrive at the Oslob whale shark watching area in Barangay Tan-awan. The experience costs around ₱1,000 for foreigners or ₱500 for Filipinos. You'll swim or snorkel alongside the gentle giant whale sharks for about 30 minutes. This is a bucket-list experience!
10:00 AM — Tumalog Falls
Just 15 minutes from the whale shark area, Tumalog Falls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Cebu. The cascading water creates a curtain-like effect. Entrance fee is minimal (around ₱20-50). Spend about 30-45 minutes here.
11:30 AM — Lunch at Oslob Paragliding Cafe
Head to the paragliding site (about 20 minutes from Tumalog Falls). The cafe offers meals and snacks with an incredible mountain view.
12:30 PM — Paragliding
The afternoon thermals are usually great for paragliding. Your tandem flight lasts 5-15 minutes depending on wind conditions. You'll soar 1,739 feet above Oslob with views of the sea, Sumilon Island, and the mountains.
2:00 PM — Head Back
Start the drive back to Cebu City, arriving around 5-6 PM.
